W126 560 SEL fuel line size...
 

Anyone know the fuel line size for the lines heading along the rocker? I have four lines, one is very small (SLS I assume). The other three look the same. One is rusted BAD and my highway impact exposed the damage and now its leaking. Looks like 1/4". But I am not sure.

I'm not certain but 6 mm very slightly less than 1/4" and 8 mm is very slightly less than 1/3 or 5/16", obviously the lines on the car are metric. The single smallest line is the rear brake line.

Well for now, until I know for sure, I cut some fuel hose the long way and wrapped it around. Four worm clamps later its holding until I can get proper line replacement.

When I took the rubber retainer off the fuel sprayed out n such a fine mist that it evaporated before it could touch the ground. Of all the lines, only this one was rusted and it was bad.

If you can open and depressurize the system then let it drain so it's not constantly dripping, you can get the stick of Permatex gas tank sealer epoxy, work it together then form it into a sheet that you can wrap around the leaking section of the line, if you can let that cure without fuel washing it off it will hold for a good long time. It's quick and dirty but it will work till you can do it right! Good Luck! And keep a fire extinguisher handy!

Im just ticked the factory line is bad. Too bad I can not get an entire new line form end to end. I hate patch work :(
