question on replacing check valve to air pump in 300CE

I have a 1990 300CE. I have a defective check valve which goes to the air pump. It is threaded on to this pipe. There is a nut on this check valve.
It seems to be larger than 28mm. If any of the gurus have replaced this check valve, can someone tell me what size nut is it?
And if there are any tricks on how to replace this part, please let me know.
I still don't have my new part yet.
