front end bushing question
 
subj: 1987 420sel

upon GUIDE ROD replacement, at the point where the guide rod connects to the front part of the suspension under the SPRING, there is a bushing....

today's question is: what is the name of that bushing.....??

any help will be appreciated by the driver, passenger, and the front end .....:)

Fastlane calls it a guide rod repair kit.

It's the guide rod bushing. The other side near the firewall is called the guide rod mount.

The FSM calls the guide rod the brake support so you might find the bushings under that name too
