W126 560 SEL rear only blowing cold...

Title says it all. I can control flow rate, but the rear center vent for back passengers only blows cold. Not even remotely warm on a very cold day. Ideas?

I believe the rear air vent is only a fresh air vent. No hot or cold air goes through it

Correction: The rear center vent has only fresh or cooled / conditioned air. Not heated air, that comes from under the front seats.

Seriously? As much as I love this car, I am finding more and more "what idiot designed this!" items. Like this one.

I saw the under seat vents. One has some huge bright yellow box blocking the output. Not even sure what its for.

Thanks guys. At least I know its not something broke.

It's a feature. If your rear seat passengers were warm they could open the vent for some fresh air.

But what if they are cold! Heated seats are great for the bum and back, but not the hands. Unless they sit on em.

If they are cold they can use the control right below the vent and shut it
