Spring??

Whilre under my 84 500 sel (W126) drivers side I noticed a white coiled spring (1" in diameter) portruding from a hole in the frame at the transmission height, in fact it was touching the trans.

What the heck is this. Maybe some kind of ground to the trans/body. I pulled it out of the frame and it was about 2 feet long after it was stretched from pulling.

Never have notived it before.

Any idea??

God Bless
John

It "was" the corrugated hose that drains the heater box in the dash!
