Bosch alternator heat shield part number
 

Anybody know where I can get a part number for a rear cover or heat shield for a bosch AL66X alternator? I want to swap one into my 2.3-16v 190E and I feel it needs to have a cover or shield like OEM to protect it from the high heat of the super close exhaust manfold.
THis is the 80 amp hi output alternator that is in tons of 90-93 190E 2.6 and 90-93 W124 cars. i just dont know which ones mght have had a cover or shield and what the part number is. If I had a VIN or a car and year i could find it off the MB EPC online.

Still looking for a heat shield for a AL66X alternator. ANyone have any ideas? That 16valve exhaust is close to the rear of the alternator!

Bad news on the rear alternator covers
 

Sooo today I called the dealer and read them all 4 part numbers for the rear covers for the back of the alternator to protect from heat and shorting out the connections. Guess what? NO GO ON ALL FOUR! None of them are available any longer. Just my luck.

Anyone know what model W124 might have had a cover on the rear of the the alternator so I might start looking at salvage yards? I may have to just fabricate a heat shield.
