Does the W203 chasis cars have anything in the charging system other than the alternator and battery. I have heard that the Newer E-class have some type of relay also that could go bad in the charging system and was wondering if the W203 cars had anything like that. The cars battery was dead on me one morning, I replaced it with an interstate since it was the orignal and 7 years old. A few weeks later the car was dead again this time I checked charging rate the alternator wasn't charging, replace it with a Mercedes Rebuilt, checked it again after replacement still not charging. Called Mercedes and they told me that they have had some trouble with this particular alternator, not sure if thats true or just cover up story. Anyways is my new alternator bad or is there something else in the system I don't know about. Thanks
