Why is my Tach stopping at 1900 RPM
I have a 95 E320 wagon. I noticed yesterday that the tach works fine on the low end but seems to only go up to about 1900 RPM. It holds at 1900 when the engine is clearly still revving above that. When it comes back down the tach drops like normal and operates fine below 1900. Any explanations on this one anyone (and what a fix might involve)? Thanks!

Gauges
I had a grounding issue with my cluster that affected the oil pressure gauge and the tach. The oil pressure gauge would not work at all and the tach only up to about 2k. Yours could be a grounding issue too!

Thanks for the advice and here is a little more detail on my specific situation. The tach problem is very consistent (1900 RPM everytime). The oil pressure, speedo, water temp and fuel guages all work as they should. If it is the ground, is this hard to get to in order to check or repair?
