New Seat Belt Clip Installation

Before I try to take the who thing apart, does anyone know if it's possible to install a new seat belt clip without actually cutting through the nylon part of the seat belt?

1992 190E 2.6

Thanks!

What do you mean by "clip"? Seat belts and restraint systems are not the kind of parts you want to take short cuts on, yours or someones life may be at risk. The buckle on the inboard side of the seat is replaceable. Anything on the belt itself requires replacing the entire belt assembly.

I'm talking about the male part that "clips" into the buckle on the side of the seat.

You need to replace the complete seat belt to repair that. The "clip" is not available by itself.

try the bmw 2 piece sliding belt guide. It worked on my 450sl it may work for you. Regards, Abe G PS Sorry not applicable to question. Adds a belt slide easy for about $2.00!

Glad I could help. If you are considering buying a used belt you need to be sure it hasn't been discharged. The mechanism has an explosive charge cylinder that winds in the slack in the belt when in an accident.
