Probably EGR and Oxygen sensor if I recall the codes correctly.

Hi, thanks for the information.. Is there a way to check these??
|
Here is the code and test/remedy for pin 8
http://www.startekinfo.com/manual/volumes/e2/1_1/m11.jsp pin 14 w/ ASR http://www.startekinfo.com/manual/volumes/e3/6_4/m11.jsp pin 14 no asr http://www.startekinfo.com/manual/volumes/e3/7_3/m11.jsp |
Pin 8, Code 13: O2S (Lambda) control system operating at rich or lean limit.
Likw pawoSD said, this may indicate a problem with the O2 sensor. Pin 14, Code 11: Closed throttle recognition signal to engine control module (HFM-SFI or Left LH-SFI), Fuel safety shut-off to engine control module (HFM-SFI or left or right LH-SFI) I don't fully understand this one. My car threw this code a few times in the past. I wonder if it has anything to do with the ETA wiring issue, i.e., disintegrating wiring insulation. |
Thanks for the reply, I am changing the O2 sensor this weekend and will check the ETA wiring.
|
Hello, well I changed the O2 sensor and cleared the codes. It ran the same and the codes were back again..
Is there away to check the ETA wiring without removing the unit? I moved the wires going to the eta while the car was running with no change.. |

Look for "Fault Code Scanner"
Dig deeper in that thread. There are links to a MBWorld thread that has a PDF attachment. The attachment is too big for this site. I'm pretty sure it covers your 92 diesel.
