1991 560SEL horn

All

I'm trying to debug the horn which is not working. Here is what I have done so far.

1) Removed steering wheel - Contacts appear to be in good shape. Sprayed WD 40 and tested with mutli meter. I'm not getting any voltage.
2) Removed fan fare switch and tested with volt meter, no voltage
3) Tested horns by running a wire directly to fuse 7. Horns work.

I checked the wiring diagram (see attached) and the only thing that i can think of is that the problem is at x63.

What is x63 and where is it located?

Many thanks

WD40 is not an electric parts cleaner. It will leave a very, very nasty film. I love the stuff, but its uses are limited. Might want to pick up some electric parts cleaner.

X63 should be a connector, but no clue where it would be. The dual horn system is annoyingly complex.

Is there not a component location chart with the reference? Most I have seen have those in the back. An actual picture of the car or area with labels for every connector, part, etc. Generally several pages of pics.

This is on a W123, but might work:

Thanks, chassis manual shows it to be under the kick panel (although I swear I looked there today). I will look again in the morning.

That's the same place the plug in the wiring harness was photographed if I recall that thread correctly.
