W126 comfort locking?

I read that the late W126 had "comfort locking" where when holding the key in the lock or unlock position would close or open the sunroof/windows accordingly.

True? And if so, is it a function of a particular module?

I believe it does. Do you have an owner's manual? Should be detailed in there or you could just try on your car to see if it responds when you hold the key. It is part of the convenience module.

I am asking because if its suppose to be a function, its not working. Tried it on both the driver and passenger door. When I first got the car I tried it also. Reading another post about it reminded me about it again.

But its not detailed in the manual. Fues guide does show "connivence circuitry" in #17. Which also has loads of other items that work fine.

Any idea on location of said module? I know the factory alarm module is MIA, but I hope thats the only module missing.

That's in the W140, and the late (1991+?) W124s. The W126 never got that feature

the more it can do the more will burn holes in your pocket.

Newer porsche or merc with doors that has no window frames, they will drop glass a few mm as soon as u touch the door latch. u will be having lots of fun when the car ran out of W.
Green stuffs replace the W thats all.

I read a bimmer whose radio shorted out caused the computer not allow the shift to go beyond 2nd gear. go figure that out.
u have even more fun if u vacationing 2000 miles away from home.
becareful what u prayed for.

I bought an S-Class for a reason. If I wanted a basic car I would have bought a Geo Metro!

Mercedes has quite a different idea of luxury than American company's do, well at least they used to. That's why the drivers side mirror is manual.
