'96 E320 Fuel Filter

I'm about to do 60K service on this car and realized it's never had a fuel filter. I'd like to replace it, but have no idea where it's located or what I'm getting myself into. I'm familiar with BMW filters, which are in-line under the car. I apologize for what I'm sure is a simple question, but I've not been able to find much service information on this car. Thanks!
