What's this connector cable jack for?
It's sticking out the dash of a '95 Mercedes E320. Is it for an Ipod, MP3 or CD player?

it looks like the remnant of a old CTEL rf cable

The BNC connector is usually used for an antenna feedline.

its not a satellite radio antenna connector? like sirius/xm?
|
Look closer. It's not a BNC connector. It has no center pin, but appears to have a center sleeve.
At any rate, it is almost certainly an RF connector of some sort, so either an old cell phone installation, a GPS with external antenna, or something along those lines. |
Just noticed a XM antenna on the roof so it must be for that.
