"EZ" brand grille for 126

Any comments on the EZ brand grille? Comes complete, less badge and ornament, for around $90. Seems cheap, but I can not find a complete MB grille either. Just wondering if anyone here has purchased one and what they thought of its quality.

My W123 grille is new from the manufacturer mentioned. The chrome is different than the factory type in that it's more reflective (then again the original one it replaced probably had some oxidation). Never bought a new MB grille (from the dealer), the insert alone from my parts guy (w/o dealer mark up) was $45 where aftermarket units are around $20.

What's wrong with the chrome frame on yours? Usually if the chrome is good, I would simply replace the insert and chrome strips. I would only get the whole assembly you're after, if I want the chrome frame replaced.

Its for an insurance claim. A truck had a blow-out and took out a large chunk of the front of my Benz. After calling the trucking company and not hearing back I expected they would do nothing. But then just a couple days ago I got a call from an adjuster. I was looking to get the insert and chrome strips but the insert is out of stock and a complete EZ grille is not much more than getting the parts anyway. My grill surround is in good shape. There are some minor abrasions, but I was going to just live with those.

If I took a picture of the EZ grille that was put on my SD you would not even consider it. The chrome is so cheap it started to rust after 1 year.

Never had any rust issues with my EZ grille, even if I wash my car on a regular basis.

Maybe the W126 variant is made differently?

My old 300SD had one as well.

Had to be constantly cleaned with chrome cleaner or it would rust.
Replaced with another used factory shell.

Saw a really nice one in the U-Pull yesterday, wish I'd known you needed it. Probably could have got it for $10. I would much prefer an OEM used over an aftermarket new.
