w210 lower control arm rear bushings crooked

1 Attachment(s)
I am attempting to replace the lower control arm bushings on my 1996 E300D. My friend has used his 20 ton shop press to remove the old bushings and to install the new ones. The larger front bushing went in just fine, however, the smaller, rear bushings went in, however, they look crooked. (please see attached picture). Although the back of the bushing and inside pin all appear straight and flush, the outer portion is not flush, or parallel with the control arm. Have the bushings been damaged or is there a way to fix this?

Thanks in advance!

My only comment is.. did he clock the new bushing in the same way as the old one? If you got the bushings clocked correctly.. install and it should be fine.

what do you mean by "clocked"?....do you mean did he place it in the same position as the old?....to that the answer is yes.

Thanks!

They look crooked , probably because they didnt seat on the inner sleeve bushing looking thing , you need to try again , or take it somewhere that has the correct tool to install these bushing like a mercedes dealer, they may need to be replace with new bushings again!
