Boy, talk about a thread with a long shelf-life! Who else is still around PP, and who still has the same car???
I've still got the 124 (Post #684). I bought it in '01 with 100K on the clock for $5,500 (it needed an engine wiring harness). I replaced the head gasket and re-did the head just for the hell-of-it. It's got 165,000 miles on it now but it still runs and drives great. It's been a great car. I've done some front-end work since my original post/pic as well as a bunch of minor repairs. Other than that it's been regular maintenance, wear-and-tear stuff, and TLC. It doesn't look quite as good as it did in '07 but it's still a nice car. The W211 wheels are gone, and the paint is a bit faded on the roof, but it's been a real work-horse. My oldest son is the current driver.
Anyone else???
