TRUNK HANDLE STUCK IN

THE CAR IS A 99 S420
My door assist works, the trunk does not and the trunk handle remains retracted (even when the trunk is open). Fuse #9 blows ten seconds after replacing. Do you think a shorted motor or bad micro switch is causing the problem? Someone please help.
