loose taillight connection

tail lights often not making good connection and going out in my 300td lately.usually a light kick to the lens assembly will fix but anyone have a more sophisticated repair ??

Take the lamp asembly out and clean the contacts for the lamp sockets and the wiring harness connector. Use the pink pearl proceedure - polish all the contacts using a pink pearl eraser.

Its a big pink rubber eraser that you used in grade school. You know the one that would wear a hole in the paper.
