Fuel Rail Pressure too low
I am in Africa and bought 2 units of 2004 Sprinter 2500, after 2wks of running fine both developed Fuel Rail Pressure too low codes, can some please help with a solution. Both motors crank but won’t start. My diagnostic tool reads Fuel Rail Pressure too low on both Vans, I have changed the fuel, oil and Air filters. Does anyone have a solution?

if gas, check the fuel pump(s) if Diesel, check your filters. also consider having this moved to the sprinter area in the forum.

I'm assuming that you are using fuel from the same place for both of them. With both of them going bad within about the same amount of time I would suspect that you have a fuel quality issue which caused your problem.
I would start by checking to insure you have good fuel flow out of the fuel tank. I am not sure of the fuel line arrangement on the Sprinter but I'd try to find a fuel line coming out of the tank to disconnect to insure you are getting a free flow of fuel out of it. |
Start by replacing the fuel filter in both of them and get your fuel from somewhere else. There is a pressure valve on the back of the rail that is known to fail.
