W124 - 300CE Compressor Compatibility

I've looked through the forum here and found nothing in regards to this compressor situation so I would appreciate the help of those of you who are experts at this.

I ordered a new Denso compressor from ******** who has always been exceptional. Only problem is that the model I was sent which is part #471-1224 as stated on the box, lacks the manifold (if you wish to call it that) which connects to the ac hose mount. The existing mount is incompatible due to the hole spacing being narrower along one edge as seen here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5665710/IMG_20110402_105431.jpg

Just the freight alone is going to be a pain so I'd rather just source the manifold as the compressor is an identical unit but the part number for this manifold/interface is nowhere to be found. Ideas?

Go to a machine shop and ask them to machine you an adapter that connects the two

Not exactly cost-effective

I ended up figuring out that by my engine serial number I've been driving an '88 model all along so it was actually the wrong year. Went ahead and sent the unit back and they're sending the right one.

Now if only I can hold on to the Miami humidity for the next few days awaiting delivery...
