fuel pump check valves

Wanted to ask for information on the check valves at the fuel pumps for the gassers M103's. Can they be cleaned possibly or do they deteriorate after time? Just wanted to see if best to go ahead and replace or repair would work, as well?? Was going to replace the fuel filter & thought I would look at them, as well. Thanks, in advance!!

Are you having a hot restart issue?

They deteriorate at the seating area.

if your going to replace the fuel filter and go thru all the work of pulling out the check valves,i would most likley replace them, they can get clogged and have serious pressure issues with fuel, causing serious drivability issues, there cheap enough get new copper crush washers and definatley replace both check valves.

I am tracking an electronic start-up circuit lock-out. What happens is in extreme cold weather like single digits or a let set like for 2 or 3 days it won't start. What I can do then is open the closed circuit for start-up & it will fire right up and run. I can then put it back in closed loop and it will start up fine then through the electronics like nothing happened. It shows no codes for it's unusual happenings. The electronics in the start-up circuit test good. It makes for a very unreliable ride with this occurrance.
