Vacuum pump removal for locking system ,190E ,too simple?

I suspect that the central locking vacuum pump on my 91'190e 2.6 is dying. It has locked me out a few times and the pump chatters/flatulates when I get locked out and restart the motor . I changed the fuse, all the doors and trunk open & close in unison. I have a replacement pump ready to go, but I am not sure how to remove the connection "block" at the bottom of the pump where all the yellow vacuum lines meet. The service CD instructs to "remove it" and reassemble in reverse order .Can one gently pry this connection away from the pump? The "new" pump has a long nipple on the bottom of the pump where the "block" is currently. I see no clasps or plastic clips . I want to go easy on this one and not break anything . the other electrical connections seem simple enough . The battery is new also. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you Gentlemen !!:o
Ps. still researching and saving for the head gasket job..

You just pull, can be hard to get them off.

There is a plastic lock that you must pop out slightly before pulling off the connection. It has ridges on it and a small screwdriver works well.

Thanks , for the info.. does the ridged area in the photo slide out somehow ? I don't want to force anything. Near the top of hose harness is a small slit, above the ridged area. Can one pry that out with a small screwdriver to release the lock? thanks a bunch..!
