Battery dies??

I have replaced my battery and the negative cable in my 116-20. If we let the car sit for 5 days the battery is fully drained. I have checked and can find no lights on nor a radio that mite be left on. What area should I be looking at. A mechanic shop hooked up there gauges and they claim that there is no draw on the battery. All I know is that it has a chager on it now so I know the NEW battery is dead.

Normal troubleshooting technique in these cases is to put a Fluke (or similar) meter with current sensing capability in series with your battery, look at the current draw, and pull fuses one by one to see which fuse stops the current draw. You can also use a DC clamp type meter. Then you can check the circuits included on that fuse for the problem. Current draw issues can be tricky to find, but you have to persist.

Don't do something like cranking the starter when you have a meter in line, however, you only want to play with relatively low current draws like lights and accessories.

Your battery should stay ok for only 5 days sitting.

battery dies

Have you checked the voltage regulator? Sometimes battery will hold charge for about 4 or five days with charge, when you check battery to see if it's charging sometimes the reg will work and sometimes it won't
