M117 Breather hose

Hey guys,

After getting one of those service coupons, I've decided that I'm tackling my engine vacuum this summer taming it once and for all

None of them look cracked, but none are supple, so the air pump hose, idle control valve elbows etc are going to be changed.

However, the breather hose is seriously messed up. it has the long tube connected to it, but the opposite end is broken off from wherever it is supposed to connect! I searched a bit before giving up and came on here to ask the Jedi council.

Thanks for any help as usual!

So I figured it out myself; the breather hose connects to the fuel pressure regulator from behind... The guy at the parts counter couldn't figure out the part that plugs into the FPR, so does anyone know what the rubber fitting is?

Thanks loads,

-Carlen

Not sure if you can actually buy that piece by itself....I just looked through EPC net and it only shows the entire regulator as one part.

The line conected to the FPR go to the breather hose that conects the right head cover to the air filter.

The only purpose of this line is in case of fuel leaking in the FPR, take it to the intake, is not a vacuum line.

I hope you understand my very bad english.

Exactly what I didn't want to hear. My dealer wants 663.55 for the FPR.

Cool beans-- not gonna happen.

This however is something I did want to hear (Your english is fine)! So basically I can plug the line at the breather hose and figure something out about the FPR later.

Thanks guys,
