Exclamation Mercedes C240 (W203) Change Air Filter Do it your self

Hey guys, here's another very easy to do it your self guide for changing Air Filters on a Mercedes C240.

All Mercedes C240's have dual (2) air filters. Make sure you buy Mann Air filters.

In my DIY you can see I am using K&N air filters. I have since stopped using them as I noticed no boost in Horsepower and it seems the oily substance ends up clogging the air intake.

1) Remove the engine cover. There are no screws. Just gently pry it off. The Air filters are located inside this engine top cover.

2) Place the cover on a nice flat surface upside down. Then unscrew on both sides to expose the air filters. In my case, it was caked with heavy dirt. I was convinced that regardless of cleaning that my K&N filters would never be free of contamination again, so I went and bought a MANN air filter kit.

3) Remove the old filters and Vacuum inside the body of the engine top cover. I went the extra mile and wiped the inside of the frame using rubbing alcohol.

4) Install the new air filter and screw the compartment shut. Gently re-attach the frame back on top of the engine.

If you have any questions just contact your local Mercedes dealer. lol.
