Electronic Ignition 1989 300SE
Can somebody give me directions on removing and replacing the electronic ignition on a 1989 300SE? Somebody tried to steal it by pounding a screwdriver into the key part and now the key wont even go in....

Oh, you mean the tumbler inside the car?
There is a tool to disengage the tabs that hold the black collar in place, then it should just spin free. Do you have a picture of what you are working against? |
Yes, the tumbler inside the car, where you insert the key. Do you know what the tool is called to disengage the tabs and where I can get it?
