Thumbs up What cosmetic upgrades have you done?

1. Black modern Euro style headlights with 8000k HID bulbs including H1 daytime running lights + 5 watt bulb at low beam housing.

2. Blacked out grill and hood emblem.

3. Stock blacked out rims

4. Blacked out/red tailights

5 Debadged trunk with blacked out trunk star. (you obviously can't see the start in the picture, but I assure you its there).

Does anyone have any upgrades on a W140 or a W210? Love those cars.

You should mask and spray the gold roof/window trim black. It looks so out of place on the 1990 and up cars. I don't know why on earth Mercedes chose to use "gold" for those pieces when nothing else on the entire car is gold.

I changed out the one piece above the windshield, and the two long strips that run along the roof to hood line with the painted gray 86-89 trim. Pretty easy swap. Replacing the rear window trim is too much of a PITA, so I will probably mask/spray.

I don't want my car to look like a ricer rocket so I am determined in keeping the car completely stock. You would be hard pressed to not appreciate something that is vintage and stock.

I've deleted the headlight wipers on my TE. They're virtually worthless on the US headlights. It was nice upgrade considering how pitted and rusted the old trim peices were.

My car didn't come with gold strim, its all chrome, unless the gold faded with age and sun . I would want to do my trim black, but the chrome doesn't look out of place at all. JohnM do you have pictures to post?

mbzman, I do agree with you which is why I stayed away from purchasing non-stock rims. But, you must admit that the lights on the older mbz's are complete garbage as far as the output. I really didn't like the look either, stock or not, it was just hideous to me the way that I had a boxy glass lens and then a plastic lens right next to it that would eventually become yellow. But I will steer away from cheap body kits and spoilers, I think that if I wanted to do that I'd just buy a Japanese made car.

hey we have the same car, I think maybe I have said that before. I have CLK's on my wagon too.. PITA to keep clean.

I need to tint my windows to get rid of the aquarium effect. I might remove the wipers too. I did that on my 300D just not the TE yet. My TE already had the fog light on with parking light mod done.. pretty nifty.

I "shaved" the stuff off the trunk on my 300d.. problem now is people just think I have an out of tune gasser that smokes on hard accelerations. oh.. my 300d has the ultimate mod.. 5 spd. Got most the stuff to do the TE too, if I want to. I do need a flywheel tho.

I made LED tails for my 300SD, it was more of a safety concern than a modification, but looks better nonetheless.

The camera I was using was not very good with night shots so I apologize for the blurriness.

Blacked out grill with E-code headlamps; functional citylights and leveling as well. Next on the list is european wipers and AMG Aero I monoblocks; if I really decide to go all out maybe a Gen II bodykit-- my only apprehension is that I have to use European bumpers which make me uneasy.

I also deleted the headlight wipers on my 300e. Also added a chrome cover for the black plastic trunk lid handle above the license plate. Really dresses up the rear end.
