				Transmission compatibility 1986 vs 1993

What is the latest year that a 1986 300e 3.0's 5 speed manual transmisison will fit into another w124 3.0? Basically I am shopping for a donor car that has a 5 speed tranny because I want to put it in either my 1993 300ce (which is actually an m104, not an m103). Also want to know if it will fit my 1995 e320 coupe? I have found a few, rare, donor cars from 1986-1987 but haven't found any post 1989 300e's with 5 speed manual transmissions. Help is greatly appreciated, here in souther california.

Yes, they are hard to find. A couple of hundred, maybe more, maybe less were shipped in 1986 and 1988 models. I think the transmission will fit all W124's. Here is where I get it from - The Russian EPC. http://mb.ilcats.ru/part/class/1/ccode/F/cat/07C/type/717/subtype/430/group/26// For early 300E 86/89 with M103 http://mb.ilcats.ru/part/class/1/ccode/1/cat/07E/type/717/subtype/450/group/26// For late 93/95 models with M104 There are some variations, but I think they all fit.
