2011 E350 evaporator location
I was wondering if anyone knows if the latest/greatest MB's have evaporators that you can change out through the glove box like Hondas do? Hopefully, they have copied the Hondas in regards to making it easy to change them out.

it's still a 211 car, the evap will be in the same place.

MY 2011 would make it a W212 model, I'll be able to answer the evaporator question in a decade or so.

Nothing has changed. The complete heater box needs to be removed in order to replace the evaporator. Do you have a leaky one???

Thank goodness no. I was just curious. Surely, they don't design it like that for the $$ they will make in the service dept in 10+ years when they start failing. I wish MB would copy Hondas design in this regard.
I just got to thinking about it because I've got a lady customer that owns a 97 E320 that needs an evaporator. She said she will sell the car before she pays to replace the evap. |
My friend did it on his 1998 E300D and it wasn't to terrible.
