1986 Mercedes 300E Engine will not Fire
I just put a new starter in my 1986 300E and now the starter works and the engine jumps and I can smell gas but the engine does not fire. Any ideas what might be wrong.

The crank position sensor wire runs nearby the starter, maybe check that it didnt get pinched somehow.
