I just got a very good price on a 1981 380SL. There is an oil leak coming from the front of the engine behind the water pump. The car is not leaking bad, it does not overheat as if its a head gasket. The car runs good and stays cool. Any experience with this would give me an idea where to start.
Also I need a spinner for one of the wire wheels on the car. Please let me know if anyone has anything like this, or knows where to find one.

MB's never came with wire wheels, so look on the "black market" for that part.

Most oil leaks in that area are $$ to repair & might even require engine removal to repair.
Unless it is lower & coming from the front ctankshaft oil seal.
