Here's a fun bug from the switchover. My user profile page goes to "JohnM" users page, whereas my ID has a period at the end. I'm sure there are a few other users affected by this.

And all this time I thought you were the same! Very subtle difference...

I seemed to remember being able to preview a thread by putting the cursor over it without being logged on. Now I am only able to do this while logged on.

Was this always the case or did I remember incorrectly?

Not in the least.

Thanks for asking though.

Be well.

7:03 EDT:

Both Firefox and Chrome are unable to load a page............takes nearly two minutes for both to accomplish this............at 7:05 EDT.

Problem immediately disappears.

I am getting random hangups and timeouts loading pages all hours--

pawoSD 09-28-2011 10:31 PM

Searches are majorly slow in peak periods. Must be the reel to reel SAN isn't keeping up. :D

Page loading is also randomly slow.

Aquaticedge 09-28-2011 11:08 PM

clicking to check page locked up for 5-10 minutes,

DeliveryValve 09-29-2011 02:42 AM

I got a random log in anomaly. Typed in my user name and password, got the message that I logged in, and then it brings me to the log-in page with blank user name and password. I look at the active user name list at the bottom and I see my user name. Click on my user name and it brings me to my page and everything is fine.

This looks like multiple machines are used to run the forums behind some form of load-balancing system, but the user's login session information is being stored on the server, so the next time you log in (and hit a different server) that machine thinks you're not logged in (because it doesn't have any information about your session), but the database does.

Can you run mysql on more than one server?

I didn't think it was capable of doing Oracle-like tricks...
