Rebuilt Transmission Recommendation
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has purchased a rebuilt tranny from "Sun Valley Mercedes Dismantlers". I am considering a purchase and would like to know if you would recommend this company.

I have not purchased a trans from there; but I have had several friends buy parts from this place and have had nothing but good things to say.

Indeed Sun Valley gets excellent reviews.

I see this was one holy bump of a thread, but figured I would give my thumbs up.
Have 70k on mine, shifts flawlessly since day one. -Installed at 114k using Blue bottle Valvoline Dex III -Changed fluid at 140k, pan was spotless. Used Valvoline Dex III Photo: http://www.w124-zone.com/downloads/p...40k/trans1.jpg -Changed fluid at 156k (had a brain fart and I thought it was 25k, when it was only 15k), pan was practically spotless...had just the slightest amount of dust on the pan. This time used Redline D4 synthetic Photo: http://w124-zone.com/downloads/photo...e155k/tch2.jpg At 182k now. Since I used Synthetic, I'll likely do my next change on a 40k interval, or at ~195k. Maybe I'll find some time and do it early one day. When I do I'll update again. |
