W126 cabin air filter?
1 Attachment(s)
I was poking around ebay and saw this car:
What caught my eye is the wiper covering... it looks like this car is fitted with a cabin air filter: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/...1&d=1317241037 Has anyone seen one of these before? I'd love to put one on my car. -J |
That is cool... I've never seen one or read of one, whether it be through the EPC or manual... Plus based on the non 'flush' fit, it looks custom fit to me.. Ask them!
Also, I would do many, MANY questionable acts to obtain that interior. |
Ya that car is nice isn't it? :icon_cool:
Did Mercedes have an accessories catalog? My knowledge of that sort of thing is weak on MB... I know VW had one, and parts from it are not in their EPC. I've looked all through the Mercedes EPC and don't recall seeing such a filter. |
I've seen them for Vettes, but not for Mercedes. Looks like a generic.
Pretty nice car, built the exact same month as my 300SE. Had some visible paint work on the bumpers and mirrors, but looks might good (but it should with only 53K miles). It's got two airbags, my Texas car only has one - booo. DG |
I hate great interiors, makes me notice that I am missing some bits! :D
That filter does look very custom. I googled and only came across those mentioning a cabin filter on the inside by the blower. But others said there was none. Seems nothing conclusive thus far. I would love to have one myself. |

The location is a catch basin for insect, leaf, twigs, etc = that homemade filter would need constant cleaning/replacement The W126 had NO climate control related filter. . |
