CEL light - clarification for W124, 1995 E320
 

Got CEL light on the next trip after 400KM run.

Showing 8(HFM)-B17 - intermittent Intake Air Temp Sensor
Code erased. CEL still on.

This is W124, E320 non ASR, 16x connector,
2 - button + LED light installed

Whats is the correct procedure to clean the CEL.
10 sec holding the button is not working, otherwise I missed something.

Cable disconnect battery or ECU - saving as last resort.

Hold button 6-10 secs after reading code. You may be holding too long.

I'm not sure if erasing can time out, i.e., that it needs to be done immediately (within 3 secs) after reading, but that's what I do.
