2005 SLK 350 Steering Angle Sensor.........Problems!!!!

I have a friend at Mercedes, he ran the diagnostic check on my car and it came back with a faulty steering angle sensor. I took off my steering wheel, removed clock spring and steering angle sensor replaced both with new Mercedes parts. After reassembly I didn't have any steering wheel controls and no horn. This is a really simply fix, I have took it apart and reinstalled around 5 times just looking for something I am missing. I have made sure everything is connected right, and it is. I thought it may just need to be reset by the dealer so I took it over there and they reset everything and cleared the codes. But still no steering wheel function or horn. Anyone have any idea of what my be causing this issue?

Is the SRS light on as well??

When you disconnect the SAS & clockspring, the steering wheel should be centered & you should make sure that the clockspring doesn't un-wind.

Most likely the ribbon on the clock spring is broken

Yes MBDoc the SRS light was on as well as the ESP.

I had all steering wheel functions before I did the work. NOW nothing, I also thought is was the clock spring as I have tried two others straight from Mercedes thinking I could have gotten a faulty part. The steering wheel hookups come straight from the clock spring. I just don't understand what could be going wrong. The description on the clock spring where it tells you to turn it all the way to the left then two full turns to the right to line up the arrows. I don't see how I could be doing that wrong but could that cause my issue? Also do you happen to know if there is a fuse for steering wheel controls and horn? Or possibly a relay.....? Also could this yaw sensor have an affect on issues Im having? Thanks alot guys
