Stopping Oil Leak
I have an oil leak on an old truck (gas engine) where the timing chain cover bolts to the engine and the mating surfaces have sealant in lieu of a gasket. It would be a major job to pull the cover.
I'd like to stop the drip because over time it coats the underside with oil. I was told that "J-B Weld" wouldn't provide a long term solution because it isn't sufficiently flexible and has a tendency to crack over time due to the expansion and contraction. If anyone knows of a good exterior sealant that "works", I would greatly appreciate hearing about it. |
