W124 trunk lining
It is possible to install the carpeted trunk lining to the lid that came on the later W124s to an earlier W124? What year was it added?

I'm not sure. You would need to check if the older trunk lids have pre-drilled holes for the clips that secure the liner in place. The liner definitely dresses up the trunk lid ... an upscale refinement.
