Just want to find out if this is the way it is suppose to work. I have the fold out key attached to the remote. Problem: You really have to be close to the car for it to word like right next to the door, new batteris installed no change. My E38 750il works like from 15meters away??

Is this some safety future by Mercedes??

Eyes in door handles
 

Over time the eyes in the door handles get couldy.Solution I used fine rubbing compound on the eyes,follows by toothpaste to gently cause eyes to get clear.Two the eye on your remote can get couldy from change in your pockets.
