Leak from flange on new muffler.
Is there anything special that needs to be done when replacing the rear muffler on a 1988 300E? I replaced it with Benz OEM but it seems to be leaking from the flange area. The clamp is tight but you can feel a bit of exhaust coming from around that area. Is there a trick or special compound to put in there before you bolt it together?
TIA Steve
