Bilstein B4 Touring or OEM Sport package shocks?

Hey everyone, just signed up onto the forum today.

At 148,000 miles my original shocks are really worn now and I want to replace them with the Bilstein HD's. Sadly they don't sell them anymore for my model, w202 C230K w/ sports package. They only sell the B4 Tourings and the B8 Sports (which i can't use because my car isn't lowered)

Anyways, I was wondering which shocks I should get. I want to retain the sportiness of the oem optioned "sport packaged" ride and I don't want anything less firm than that. I care more about responsiveness and firmness than comfort.

I heard that despite the B4's being "touring", they are still a bit stiffer than most oem mercedes shocks, or should I stick with purchasing the oem Mercedes sport shocks from the dealer? Which would provide better handling?

Thank you for reading!

Looks like they are the same shock- B4 is just a new name for 'em. They will ride stiffer just because they are new.

I have a set of sports with H&R's and frankly it's annoying sometimes. Makes the car creak because of the stiffness and vibration.
