I have a 87 300 SDL,,the info says it has a 722.3xx trans,,what I would like to do is find a 722.3xx trans for rebuilding,, then put it in,, but it's had to find a 300 sdl for parts,, I would buy a complete car if I knew that the trans would fit ,, is there a list of models and years that used the 722.3xx trans,, ??? I turned down a 91 300 sel for $100 cause I have no idea about it's trans,, all the best to you and yours Cheers DD ps thank you !!

Dave, If you like to tear apart parts cars and sell the bones, that 300sel was a good deal. However, it isn't the right transmission for your car.

If you want a transmission core, there are plenty around here to be had (NY). Shipping over the border will be expensive though. Are you close enough to the US to be able to hand carry the part?
