m104.996 surging idle

here are the symptoms...

when the car is started in the cold, it runs and idles just fine, until it starts to warm up... then...

.. when its at say.. low medium to medium high it has surging at idle, never under throttle. with no throttle at a stop, its slight in neural, a little more pronounced in drive, and moreso in reverse. if i let off the brake (and dont touch the gas) its starts a resonance that goes absolutely herky jerky in reverse, and drive isnt a whole lot better. throw it in neutral and it mostly settles, but sometimes not. hit the gas, and its gone.

now, if ive been driving for while or i let the car warm up for 20 minutes, its mostly behaved. then when i shut it down without it really cooling off, its REALLY cranky. idle bunces everywhere at a stop, in gear or not. its just horrible.

accelerator linkage?
idle speed adjustment?
idle speed control actuator?

other?

im currently waiting on parts to make a code scanner, but if anyone has run into this before and wants to post up...

... it would be much appreciated!!!!

Thanks
zimm
