R350 oil message
I keep getting a check oil message even though I just changed the oil and the level is full. It has been doing off and on. Usually when I change the oil, it won't happen for about 1000 miles then it starts showing me the message again. Is there a sending unit I can clean or replace? 2006 R350. thanks

If the oil level is correct and you continue to get the warning message, the oil level switch needs to be replaced. It's becoming fairly common as the M272/273 get up there in years. :(

oil sending unit
Where is it located?

clinggi, not familiar with an R350, but the oil level sensor should be on the side of the oil pan ... typically the driver's side. Best to change the sensor when the oil is drained.

The lower pan must be removed to replace the switch. Pay close attention to the installation position!!! It's not impossible to install the new one upside down. :)
