How do you peel this panel off ?
On a 126 lower fender body panel ( as in yellow arrow ) should I just pry the bottom off with a flat tool and remove - as seen in the CD, or must one first remove the lower panel to get it out of the way ?
I cannot really tell by looking at it. This panel is quite loose on top. I would like to re "clip" it, so it stays with the car and doesn't just fly off . |

There are two attachments on this panel: one high and one low. The lower one is a straight in, plastic, ribbed stud into a pressed socket in the quarter panel. Use a flat plasic wedge (or plastic spatula) from the bottom and pry outwards. The upper attach. (your loose one) is a clip that "hooks" down into a slot. This lifts up (or could be slides down). You'll feel the direction once you pry the lower stud loose.

will try it later today. Already have the replacement clip. I am assuming from your reply that I go directly to this panel - without hasseling the bottom one.
Thanks |
