MBDOC or anyone with current w204 experience

08 C300 with 20k, bought CPO last summer with 12k. Luxury model with multimedia and Harmon Kardon....nothing else. Sort of a bare-bones example.

Warranty will be out this fall with probably less than 30k, at which time the car will be 5 years old based on in-service of 9/07. What sort of problems have you seen with aging 204s like mine?

I'm trying to decide if a) I should purchase an extended CPO warranty (integrated conductor plate repairs come to mind), or at least be proactive in addressing seemingly minor concerns before that time.

Car kind of reminds me of my 97 in terms of its overall quality and daily reliability, but that was also a car that had electronic trans gremlins and went through all it's bushings around 70k and again around 170k.

Trans issues, like the valve body.

Or even worse...the balance shaft wear issues.

Change oil (every10K) & trans fluid (every 30K) if you are keeping the car.!

Oh boy. Yeah, it is a rougher motor overall than any Benz I've ever owned. The m111 was smoother. So, you are saying the balance shaft wear issues can be put to rest with 10k oil changes? I am doing mine at 7500. I will bump trans up to 30 from 39.
