vacuum lines 1987 420sel
girls and boys,
here i am once again making progress on a couple of fronts with a beautiful 1987 420sel that i have driven for 9-10 years. i recently replaced the crankshaft position sensor cable and in the process of doing so i noticed several vacuum lines that are brittle and/or are just not there. therefore, the next project is the cleanup of the vacuum lines as right now i have a problem with the idling of the vehicle. what she is doing is coming up to idle rpm rather slowly....if i crank her over she starts right on time, but then if i rev her, she's going to die....unless i give her some time to come up to speed....if there is something else that can cause this please let me know and the help would be much appreciated. also, i need an outlet for some good airlines that will last.... lyle harnois |
We were just discussing vac lines on the W126s here:
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/tech-help/312792-removing-emissions-grey-car-126-a.html Chances are you have deep vac leaks at the intake plenum. Others are all pretty easy to repair. |
