K-Mac W210 bushing installation questions**

I just got my K-Mac adjustable front control arm bushings in the mail, dropped the control arms down today. I'll be taking these puppies for the Benz dealer for the pressing. (I'm afraid of damaging them). According to the directions, the bushings can be inserted in any direction, can someone confirm this for me? I thought there would need to be some position orientation. Has anyone installed these with the supplied extractors? I've pressed in my share of two piece bushings in VW/Audi vehicles, but at $500, I'm admittedly nervous about pressing with a vice...

Yes, the bushings can be installed in any position. The adjustment is internal within the bushes, you put them in and then turn the centre bolt to get your alignment setting.

But you MUST do the bolt up TIGHT when it's adjusted!

I assume you mean final torque on the nut after final adjustment. K-Mac's spec if 90 ft/lb on the nut.

Did you install your bushings?

I do all that sort of work on my own car, have done for years. The nice thing with these is that I don't have to make up the tools, they come with the kit.
