Time for a Brake change on the 87 190D 2.5 N/A, looking at the FSM the mentions the first part of the years production had Solid Rotors,(mine) the latter had Vented. Since most agree the Vented version is best, can I simply order a Vented rotor? Is the caliper different? Pads? Anyone? Anyone? Thanks! Clip

I did cross drilled brembo rotors with new calipers, pads and lines around- and she'll pull your face off if you stand on the brake pedal. Very happy with the upgrade and can say that this mod has helped me avoid numerous wrecks when people have swerved into my lane and stopped on the highway.

Lots of info out there.....
but most of the upgrade projects are W124 parts to W201. I am just looking for better braking via OEM W201 choices. The 190E after mid-87 went vented, the diesels, it appears didn't. So the question is really, Do the 190E OEM Vented Rotors directly swap to the 190D Solid hubs/calipers/pads/backing plates? Many of the V8 W124 Upgrades requires new wheels as well. Thanks for the info/links! Clip
